OA2020/ESAC Community of Practice Call – Transformative agreements: one objective, a variety of approaches

On June 30^th, 2021, the OA2020 and ESAC communities came together in a joint Community of Practice Call under the topic “Transformative agreements: one objective, a variety of approaches”.

The meeting kicked off with a presentation by Ignasi Labastida, Head of the Research Unit at the University of Barcelona’s Learning and Research Resources Centre (CRAI), who introduced Spain’s approach and negotiation outcomes. In the follow-up discussion, Pernille Hammelsø of the Royal Library Denmark and Nina Karlstrøm of Unit (Norway) highlighted the commonalities and unique characteristics in their approaches.

This call complemented the US OA2020 Community of Practice Call of the previous month, in which Ellen Finnie discussed the University of California’s four-year transformative agreement with Elsevier. The recording of this call is also available here.
