The expected research article output of 9500 in 2020 is based on significant analysis of publishing trends of German corresponding authors and, multiplied by the PAR fee constitutes the reference value for the contract.
Potential deviations are defined beyond an upper and a lower threshold. These upper/lower thresholds are set at: +5%/0% in 2020, +10%/-5% in 2021, and +20%/-15% in 2022. Articles beyond the upper threshold will be published but not charged. Pre-payment of reference values will gradually transition, in steps of 25% per year, to post-payments over the course of the agreement. For details, see pages 25-26 of the contract. |
