COSTS

How do the costs of the agreement relate to previous subscription-only agreements with the publisher?

Agreement costs within the range of the previous spending level
Comments on cost development Arrangements with participating institutions are based on a yearly Read & Publish fee.

The publish fee is calculated based on [the average number of articles published by corresponding authors in the past 3 years by the institution] x [APC] x [the overall share of OA articles published in all JB journals].

The read fee is calculated on [the spend on journal subscriptions by the institution] x [100% minus the overall share of OA articles published in all JB journals].

Total fee for the year would be the sum of the publish fee and the read fee.

Publishing is unlimited.

Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) is default but authors can also use or the Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial ( CC BY-NC) license.
