OVERALL ASSESSMENT AND COMMENTS
The agreement has been designed to allow for 100% transition to open access for UK output where institutions participate. The price is based on current subscription spend and previous publishing activity. Publish fees are calculated each year of the 2 year pilot based on a notional APC. For future agreements the pricing mechanism will need to be adjusted to take into account published output.
