Share agreement facts

The open access transformation comes with a cultural change regarding the way how consortia and negotiators exchange information and share their lessons learned. This portal offers an opportunity to share facts and assessments of the transformative open access agreements globally in place (“offsetting”, “read and publish”). Our aim is to create transparency with respect to availability, mechanisms, and key parameters of transformative agreements. By this we will set the necessary basis for our collaborative work on their advancement towards an efficient and sustainable APC market.

You are kindly invited to share key parameters and personal assessments with the community through the following form. Every submission will be carefully reviewed in advance of its final release. You will help us to soon come up  with a current agreement overview that will enable libraries and consortia around the world to engage with others in order to align strategies and make informed decisions in the negotiations.

PUBLICATION OUTPUT
What is the approximate range of corresponding author publications from your institution with the publisher? The figure must not necesserily match the amount of eligible articles under the transformative agreement but gives a general idea of the size of your agreement.

AGREEMENT LOGIC
Transfomative agreements vary in the way of how APCs were priced in. While some agreements convert subscriptions fully or partly to APCs to determine the number of artices that can be published oa, others are featuring seperate cost components for reading and publishing. Some publishers offer discounts or vouchers. Please choose what describes your agreement best (multiple choices possible):

WORKFLOW ASSESSMENT

How would you assess the practical implementation of the agreement? Please also consider ESAC's workflow requirements.

OVERALL ASSESSMENT AND COMMENTS

If you wish, you may share your overall assessment of this agreement with others. You may want to use categories of a SWOT analysis for that. If you do so, your statements on STRENGTHS and WEAKNESSES should rather refer to your internal assessment (How does the agreement perform in terms of costs and workflows, also compared to other license agreements? Does it help to achieve your goals?), OPPORTUNITIES and THREATS should reflect your assessment regarding the overall transformative effect of the agreement.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
